About Attorney Lori L. Silcott

 

Attorney Lori L. Silcott is a Wellston native and a 1986 graduate of Wellston High School. She attended Capital University for her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Education. She immediately entered Capital University Law School and became a licensed attorney in November of 1994.

During her time in undergraduate school, Lori worked part time, and then was employed full time while attending Law School. While studying law, she worked for the Columbus City Attorney, then for the Franklin County Child Support Enforcement Agency, and ultimately in the probation department for Franklin County Municipal Court.

Once Lori received her license to practice law, she first worked for the Athens County Child Support Enforcement Agency where her role involved working with issues of child support and proving paternity. From there, Lori went to MCI Worldcom and spent five years in the corporate legal department working with contracts.

Lori L. Silcott entered into private practice in Wellston in November 2002. She currently resides in Wellston with her husband and four children. Her areas of practice include Divorce and Dissolution, Custody issues, Child Support, Adoptions, Family Law, Civil Protection Orders, Criminal Law Defense for both Adult and Juvenile cases, Land Contracts, Deeds, and Power of Attorney.

Lori L Silcott is a member of both the Jackson and Vinton County Bar Associations.
